We haven't shut up about it all summer and we won't stop any time soon. Electric Fields festival is only one week away and we, for one, cannot wait. Here's a couple reasons why you should nab yourself a ticket before the 26th.
Tim Burgess's Blonde Barnet
Don't pass up the opportunity to admire this man's barnet in real life. Even if you didn't want to, you won't really have a choice, because he is all over the lineup. The Charlatans' frontman is curating his Tim Peaks stage, whilst headlining with the band on Friday night, DJing and reading from 'Tim Book Two'. Plenty to look forward to.
There's a built-in Real Ale Festival
Who doesn't love a really good Real Ale? Just imagine sipping on a sweet brew, in the evening sunshine, serenaded by some of your favourite bands.
Sneaky Pete is coming too
The list of DJs is fantastic this year, featuring appearances from Erol Alkan, Joy Orbison, Factory floor and many more. You'd be foolish not to drop in on the Sneaky Pete's stage whilst you're at Drumlanrig Castle on the 26th & 27th.
Once you're in, everything is in perfect walking distance. That means you don't have to worry about trekking through the grass in your boots for half an hour, just to get to the loo. It also means that the food, the entertainment and the campsite are right next to the main arena and all it's musical delights.
BOBBY G! Primal Scream are sure to put on a fantastic set. Electric Fields is as small a festival as the band have played, making their headlining slot a real prize for anyone who joins. This 5,000 capacity festival allows you to catch some legendary bands in an intimate setting - one which you may not have gotten otherwise. Get your rocks off, honey. You know you want to.
"We’ve put together a really good band and we can’t wait to get out there. An intimate open air show in Scotland? That’s going to be amazing, isn’t it?" - Bobby Gillespie, Primal Scream
