"A celebration of good music, good people and good times."
Electric Fields now spans over 2 days, allowing more time to showcase some of the best new and familiar musical talent, in one of the most gorgeous locations in Scotland. It is one of the most exciting Scottish festivals to grace the country since the passing of Rockness and we are so glad EF is back for another year.
This festival already has one of the best lineups in the British festival calendar, and they've just added 4 more fantastic acts.
The disgustingly talented, Fat White Family will bring their incomparably raw sound to the Dumfries and Galloway countryside, giving a bit of edge to a pristine lineup. WARNING: male genitalia may intrude, along with blood-curdling screams and communist propaganda. Their show will be unlike anything you've seen before.
Glaswegian duo, Honeyblood will also make an appearance, prior to their release of album #2 later this year. Indie dreamboats Eliza & The Bear are also joining the lineup, along with the appropriately named, and endlessly groovy, Field Music.
After adding some marvellous new acts to the lineup, Electric Fields has also announced two special warm-up gigs. On Friday 24th June, WHITE will play at Broadcast in Glasgow, while on Tuesday 5th July Edinburgh’s Cabaret Voltaire presents Dixon Avenue Basement Jamsin Association with Hector’s House and Sneaky Pete’s.
“We’re proud to welcome these amazing bands to the lineup. They each bring something unique and powerful to a bill that we think is the best for music lovers, and the best value, anywhere in the country this summer." - Nick Roberts, festival co-founder.
The Electric Fields Lineup also includes The Charlatans(we'd pay for tickets to see Tim Burgess' hair alone), Primal Scream(Boaby G!!!), The Twilight Sad(we're anything but sad about that), The Go! Team (finally emerging from under their rock), Sundara Karma (lovely hair) and WHITE (so, so glittery).
