The Lapelles are a five-piece indie unit from East Kilbride, in case you didn't know. They've got synth, they've got vox, they've got guitar, they've got bass and they've got drums. Who could ask for anything more?

The band released their newest single a few weeks ago, entitled Grab Life By. Sticking to their creative roots and capitalising on what they do best, means The Lapelles have created another hip-shakingly good track that is easy to dance to and very easy to love. Their exuberance for the indie-pop they create is refreshing in an era where many bands shy away from indie labels. The track is laced with classic synth-infused melodies and smatterings of feathery brit-pop. Grab Life By is mysterious, climatic and addictive - seamlessly filling the massive shoes of their previous hits, Snakehips and Seventeen.

Off the back of their home successes, the boys played two massive shows in Newcastle and Leicester, supporting Alex Turner and Miles Kane on their most recent tour as The Last Shadow Puppets. The Lapelles have also just confirmed a massive support slot for The Kooks at The Assembly in Leamington Spa on July 8th.

With only a handful of tracks under their belt, its impressive to see these five lads from East Kilbride bag such massive support slots. Even though its impressive, it is definitely not surprising. As their repertoire slowly mounts, so does their fanbase - and rightly so.

Be sure to catch the Scottish five-piece and their brightly coloured shirts at one of many festival appearances this summer - including T in the Park and Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival. Watch their colourful music video for Grab Life By below.

The band are on tour right now playing some shows throughout Scotland, before moving further south. Catch them in Aberdeen tomorrow night if you're about. All details here:
