MUSIC: D.I.D ARE BACK WITH LATEST SINGLE, I MEANT TO HURT YOU
D.I.D have hit us in the jugular for the third time this year. Brand new track I Meant To Hurt You came out on Friday and they've just announced the release of their sophomore album, The State We're In, coming December 2nd. D.I.D have been teasing us for the past two years, releasing the Fast Food EP in 2015 along with a cheeky little festive number, TV Christmas. They dangled some Flush bait in front of our eyes earlier this year, with the follow-up Killer Whale reeling us i

MUSIC: SWEET WHITE HAVE RETURNED WITH NEW SINGLE, GENINE
SWEET WHITE are five lads from Aberdeen with a bittersweet alt-rock sound that grabs you by the heart strings and doesn't stop pulling. Scotland caught onto the band after the release of their debut EP, Monet - which included their most popular single at the time, Tides. The five musicians built up a following after playing shows with Baby Strange and headlining a 9-date Scottish tour. However, Jake (vocals), Ruairidh (Guitar), James (Guitar), Shaun (Drums) and Corrin (keys)

ALL WELCOME NO PRISONERS INTERVIEW: DALE BARCLAY TALKS '...AND YET IT MOVES'
“The Amazing Snakeheads are over. Never, ever to return.” A short, emotional Facebook post confirmed The Amazing Snakeheads’ shock split last year, just hours before they were due to play a massive homecoming gig at Glasgow's O2 ABC, on Sauchiehall Street. Their demise was a completely unexpected blow, saddening people all over the UK. We thought this would be the last we’d hear from Dale Barclay. Thank god we were wrong. “there might well be a point to this after all” For Ba

MUSIC: ELECTRIC FIELDS: 2016 HIGHLIGHTS, SATURDAY 27TH
The overall verdict on Electric Fields festival, is that everyone wishes they could stay all year round. We had a fantastic weekend making friends and eating some damn good food. Oh, and the smashing lineup played a part too. Here's how our weekend went: The Stewart Cruickshank stage was a triumph. This blue topped tent exhibited some of the best of UK musical talent from recent times, making for a perfect ode to the industry legend it was aptly named after. From wandering ar

MUSIC: ELECTRIC FIELDS: UNMISSABLE ACT #5, BLUEPRINT BLUE
Blueprint Blue are a band with beautiful faces from South London. The trio is made up of Huw Webb, Melissa Rigby and Elliot Hayward. They work together to create music of marvellous concoctions; ranging from folk influences, to electric guitar harmonies and a looping blues rhythm that will set your heart alight. Basically, they make music that could be played around a campfire on a warm summer's night, but also played loudly in your favourite durgy pub. Either way, you'll be

MUSIC: ELECTRIC FIELDS: UNMISSABLE ACT #4, SUNDARA KARMA
With Electric Fields kicking off this afternoon, we thought we'd let you see one of the bands from our Unmissable Acts series that we are most excited about. Sundara Karma specialize in making unapologetically catchy pop melodies, that are addictive to no end. Frontman Oscar Lulu's hearty vocals are consistently capitalised by foundations of prime indie / rock guitar. They've just released their newest single She Said, in perfect timing for a weekend of festivals. The rhythm

MUSIC: ELECTRIC FIELDS: UNMISSABLE ACT #3, SWEATY PALMS
Garage rock band Sweaty Palms have caused quite the stir in Glasgow since they started touring last christmas. Becoming renowned for playing gigs full of carnage and leaving audiences (and themselves) ripping at the seams, means everyone else in the UK circuit is gradually catching on. After a successful tour in July - including a headline set at T in the Park's T Break Stage on the Sunday night - the quartette are back for more; joining us in the fields of Drumlanrig castle

MUSIC: ELECTRIC FIELDS: UNMISSABLE ACTS #2, TUFF LOVE
The countdown to Electric Fields 2016 is well underway. With four more days until the main attraction, we thought we'd give you another look at who we think you should see this Friday and Saturday. Tuff Love are a dreamy unit from Glasgow who specialise in visceral guitar pop and excel in producing husky melodies which will swim around your mind for days. The duo have been writing for the past four years, supplying themselves with a back-catalogue of tracks to be proud of. Fr

MUSIC: NEWS: JUNK SON ANNOUNCES DEBUT ALBUM WITH NEW SINGLE 'PICTURE'
Junk Son is back with another hypnotic single as follow-up to the success of his self-entitled EP, released in July. Picture is the penultimate track taken from the South Londoner's debut album, coming on November 24th, entitled Beginning, Ending, Pretending. This track lays homage to his backlog of pieces; sticking to his characterised hypnotic sound.
